Neil's Place is colonial style building constructed in the 1920s. Situated just 7Km from the Kandy city center on the Kandy - Nuwaraeliya/Ella/Sri Pada(Adam's Peak) route, is also in close proximity to South Asia's largest university & Peradeniya Railway station. Peradeniya Royal Botanical Gardens, Embakka/Lankathilaka/Gadaladeniya Devalas are also some of the attractions located near by. The " Neil's Place " is strategically located away from the bustling crowds of the city yet conveniently placed close enough to all the local attractions allowing our guests to indulge in some local sight seeing, if they wish to do so. The ancient Temple of Tooth Relic (Sri Dalada Maligawa) shrine, celebrated with the famed Esala Perahera procession annually is just 7 km away. Guests can buy tickets to witness the procession (July to August) from a viewing gallery. This unique Buddhist festival is a feast for the sight and senses featuring cultural dances and lavishly decorated elephants. The scenic Kandy Lake, 7km away from the Neil's Place, is the heart of the city and is popular for strolling. Guests can take a boat ride across the lake.
